Aftermath Islands is an interactive virtual reality platform based on blockchain technology.

Aftermath Islands, as described in the initial White Paper released in 2017 and subsequently updated, was based on the principle of an aquatic world with islands representing destinations in a global virtual game. Since then, Aftermath Islands' METAVERSE has evolved and now features exciting theme-based islands, communities, and domains where players can experience a wide range of adventures and opportunities.

In the virtual world of Aftermath Islands, users can buy, develop, trade, and sell virtual land (VL), assets, and goods, such as buildings, crafted items, means of transportation, and other items, using NFTs, a non-fungible token that represents ownership of virtual assets and other items. Each plot of VL is unique, and owners can choose the content they want to publish on their VL.

This can range from simple decor and structures to an interactive game, a store, a warehouse, a home, a facility, or a destination. Users can buy VL and all other goods and services on Aftermath Islands with CREDITS, the current codename for the game's currency, fiat and other authorized currencies, coins, and tokens.

Aftermath Islands is a shared virtual world, much like the Metaverse described by author Ernest Cline in his science fiction novels Ready Player One and Ready Player Two. Scheduled to launch in mid-2022, Aftermath Islands will allow users to connect and interact with each other, create content, create items, participate in activities and quests, and play games. Aftermath Islands will have a virtual economy where users can make a myriad of economic transactions in the world and monetize the content, items, quests, and applications they create.

Community Islands

Aftermath Islands offers players a fun and exciting opportunity to acquire their own virtual land (VL). Each type of Aftermath island has its own properties, rules, and adventures. Owning an island, being part of a community, being a land baron, farmer, adventurer, creator - it's all up to you. Your virtual dream destination begins here!

Themed Islands - this is where the fun begins. Each themed island will be a treat for players as they can immerse themselves in events, quests, and gameplay designed around a particular theme, such as Dragonlore, Medieval combat, Alien wars, Dinosaurs, Pirates, Monsters and many more. Some themed islands may host educational and entertainment events. The list of possible themes is huge. And best of all, you can own and control VLs on each of these islands, if you're fast enough to get yours before they're all gone!

Community Islands - for those who want to spend time together, play with other players, and still have a place of their own, a lot can be the perfect place for you. On community islands, players can participate in group activities, guilds, clubs, and other types of activities, or they can just go solo.

Semi-Private Islands: if you want to own a large portion of a small island where only a few dozen players own, then a dominial island is for you!

Private Island - for those who want it all, you can own your own island and create your own game environment. With 3 different sizes available, you can design and build your own empire. Only a limited number of individual islands will be made available, and each player-owned island will enable Aftermath Islands to benefit from certain privileges to ensure fair access and gameplay for all.

Kingdoms - Available in the future, Kingdoms will be groups of islands
