The Honor 8, the best budget smartphone
Who hasn’t heard of Honor? It’s a subsidiary of the Chinese brand Huawei, an undisputed giant in the smartphone industry that competes across all segments.
One of the Honor 8X’s major drawbacks was its size, which had some people a bit concerned. In fact, it’s theoretically larger than most current smartphones, and some feared it might no longer be possible to use it with one hand. The first surprise is that despite its larger screen, the Honor 8X still fits comfortably in your hand without slipping—provided you have large hands.
Fans of TV shows, movies, YouTube, and games will be delighted to enjoy a superb, very large screen (which looks even bigger thanks to the notch and its ultra-thin bezels) that delivers a very pleasant viewing experience. That’s a solid 6.5 inches with a Full HD+ resolution of 2340×1080 pixels!
In terms of design, we appreciate the particularly polished back, which highlights the product’s high-quality craftsmanship. Its only drawback is that it picks up fingerprints, but it’s a truly beautiful and stylish smartphone that’s a pleasure to use.
In terms of technical specifications, the Honor 8X closely resembles the Huawei Mate 20 Lite and P Smart+, from which it borrows the processor. The Honor smartphone is equipped with 4 GB of RAM and the Kirin 710, HiSilicon’s latest mid-range SoC. A slight performance boost thanks to a finer manufacturing process is also worth noting.
As for battery life, the Honor 8X is equipped with a 3,750 mAh battery. With basic use, you can go two days before needing to recharge it—proof that Honor is making positive strides and competing with the industry leaders.
So here we have a high-performance, stunning smartphone that offers absolutely unbeatable value for the price, since it’s available for 250 euros! It’s an offer not to be missed, especially given the longevity of Huawei devices.
