Apparently, it’s not the front of the device that’s catching the attention of tech enthusiasts, but rather its back. According to the latest news, new photos detailing the device’s back cover have been released. With“Mi Mix designed by Xiaomi”on the back, two holes will be visible. One of the holes will be visible in the center—the one that will likely be used for fingerprint authentication. Another hole is also located in the upper corner of the Chinese smartphone. This one is believed to house the LED flash and the camera sensors. For smartphone enthusiasts, this configuration is quite familiar, as it resembles the layout ofApple’s latest smartphone,the iPhone X. It’s worth noting, however, that this marks a new direction for the Chinese smartphone manufacturer and supplier of smartphone components. Until now, Xiaomi, the Chinese giant in smartphone component manufacturing, has consistently opted for a single rear camera across all its product lines—except for this one.
Xiaomi’s latest release
Based on a leaked photo of its back panel, the third generation appears set to shake up the status quo and the brand’s established practices. Based on the latest image released by the brand, the Chinese smartphone appears to feature a dual rear camera setup. This suggests that Xiaomi has likely prioritized the photographic performance of this particular smartphone. In this regard, Xiaomi would be catching up to its competitors. In fact, the brand is set to release this model in 2018 to join the never-ending race for the best smartphones. Since the brand manufactures Xiaomi smartphone components, it is banking on the quality of these components to win over tech enthusiasts. Thus, the brand selling Chinese smartphone components is determined to make a big splash next year to make a strong comeback among the top Chinese smartphone component manufacturers on a global scale. According to Xiaomi, this new device is expected to launch as early as March 2018, alongside the flagship Xiaomi Mi 7 and Mi 7 Plus. Moreover, its press conference unveiling the brand-new Qualcomm chip confirms that the Mi 7 will be among the first smartphones to feature the Snapdragon 845. Additionally, tech enthusiasts will be able to purchase this new generation of Xiaomi Mi devices at Discountmymmobile starting in 2018. Thus, the new flagship won’t be the only new release for 2018; the Mi Mix 3 will also be added to the Chinese smartphone brand’s lineup.
